As I said in the previous post, I want to talk about removing your makeup. Because makeup really starts with skincare. I'm lucky to have learned from a very young age the importance of skincare, my mother always told me: It's what keeps me young!
So as you learned previously, cleaning your skin is essential, but it doesn't work so well if you sleep with your makeup on or if you clean your face before using a makeup remover first.
You see, when we apply foundation, mascara, lipstick, eyeliner, these products are greasy and they stick to your skin, which is great for the longwear, but not so great for sleeping. So for removing that you need something that will break through the grease. And oddly enough, the best way is with oily removers. My favorite is Lancôme Bi-Facil, it removes even the best waterproof mascara! And because its greasy, it makes you definitely wash your face, because it feels so oily! (ha-ha, see I'm tricky! But it's for your own good!)
Another good way is with cream removers, I had this Dior Gel de Lait, it's technically a gel, but we can call it a cream....at least I do... It was a very good product, but it just doesn't appeal to me because of the texture, but it's my problem, you might actually love it! The good thing about it, is that it feels so refreshing!
What about the cleaning waters? I absolutely love them! It's nice and refreshing, but not messy! And it cleans so well! My favourite and I suppose most makeup artists favorites is Bioderma, its just so easy to use, and even if you need to fix a tiny mistake in your makeup, its great in a little cotton bud, no mess, no fuss!
And last and not least, let's talk about the wipes....Yeah, I know you love it, and I secretly love it too....But I really try not too use it too much, because it simply doesn't remove makeup as well, but I know how great they are...and practical. So use it, but don't abuse it!
And for the love of whatever you think it's holy, NO baby wipes! It goes to clean babies butts with poop!!! You deserve so much better than that and so does your facial skin! ;)
